FELPRO 1094 Head Gasket .015"

Which side goes up (towards heads)? The rubber coated side or plain side?

The raised bead (embossing) goes up.

When ever you see an embossed gasket (raised bead), the raised bead goes up. The .015" shim gasket I usually use (felpro#7733 SH-1), does not have a rubber inlay. I install them clean and dry without any gasket spray or other junk. Its either going to seal up, or its not. Retorqueing the head bolts after a few warmup cycles is a +.
