perhaps you got what you paid for? A tuned long tube big pipe header system is not $500.บบ You may have a moderate tube set that fits a few applications or more. Or maybe Jegs is putting the race header builders out of business now?

My 1 7/8 stepped to 2 inch, with 1/2 inch lowered collectors cost me more than $500.บบ I didnt even see headers like mine being sold at jegs
maybe you know where to buy C-2/3 small block step headers?

I looked around a lot before making my headers hoping it would be easy but 2.250 tubes, fender exit,Victor heads,RB engine just don't get made in production that I can find.I was wanting to build some headers and welcomed the opportunity.

I did get a Hooker header kit but in a roadster style and the ports are 1 5/8x2 5/16 so I had to hammer the pipe square to fit doing the long side 1st and the is plenty of room with the 3/8 header bolts and I avoided crowding them knowing it is a pain. The exh ports on the head is only 1.750w x1.350h so maybe the port acts like an antireversion plate.

I think on the passanger side exit I am going to have to rune 2 pipes in a direct line exit to the collector to avoid the tire more and the 2 pipes shown along the frame will be ok.

I was wondering if you wanted anti reversion or use a short smaller pipe and stepp up.Ive seen some headers with 2 steps for road racing. On a mouse we use an adapter. With the adapter yo also get an extra bolt on a bigger pattern, this adapter ported and blended.makes it easier to weld the bigger tubes to a wider flange.I had my headers built for me,next time I might give it a try.
Im not a big fan of jigsaw puzzles, and matching 8 tubes by length and trying to keep the bends similar is somewhere between fun and frustrating Im sure

I think with a roots boosted engine the anti reversion is less of a problem with no restrictions/back pressure and a forced chamber pushing on things.I am taking a long time to build these and knowing when to walk away has helped. The #7/8 pipes are not equal length but I did the best I could and I am happy with that.

Post some Pics of the Finished Product. Looks like you have a great start. There's a guy in town that does customer headers. $1100.00 for a BBC 69 Camaro. They are a very nice Piece.
