A few pics from a local show...

Parking lot of one of the local casinos was the venue for a nice show here today. I just took a few pics as my battery wasn't fully charged. We had at least 300 cars, a number of nice trucks, some nice motorcycles, and even a few motorized bicycles. More Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Chevelles, B-body Mopars than you could shake a stick at. Here's just a few pics:

Engine bay is the '57 Vette's.

A few more: Can you say 'bling'? Yes, those are mirrors inside the hood. Can you tell I like old Chevy/GMC trucks?. Picture does not do justice to the nice paint on this sedan. A couple of nice customs from members of the Pharaohs car club.

Remember what I said about Chevy trucks? The blue one has a 350, th350, MII IFS, and is for sale (17,500) - sure wish I had an extra 17,500! The Nova is a Yenko, and the Chevy 5 window is a beautiful root beer metallic about a mile deep!

...and some Mustangs I took for my nephew... and a beautiful Dearborn Deuce. The black below the beltline is actually a super-dark green. To give you and idea of the quality that was at this show, this Deuce did not win it's class. Some of the classes were incredibly broad - the Deuce for example was in the 'street rod' class - tons of cars in that category (including mine). Mustangs were all in one class, as were Corvettes, Camaros, Trucks, and Mopars! The winning Mopar was a '37 sedan with a modern 5.7L Hemi, which also took best-in-show!

One last shot - my neighbor buddy's father-in-law brought this beautiful '55 T-bird. I had this unusual viewpoint all day as we were sitting behind our cars.

I saw a biker walking by with his dog on a leash, thought to myself 'how is he going to take his dog on his motorcycle'? He had a side-car on his bike. Dog was a black lab. As they got close to the cycle, the dog jumped right in and sat down (obviously been there before). The biker got out his helmet and gloves, and a set of goggles for the dog! Biker's lady friend climbed on the back, they both petted the dog, then off they went! Totally cool! I was so busy watching the dog, I didn't get a picture *Duh*.

Thanks Bob...I'm in the process of getting a hall pass for travelling...LOL, but, as soon as I have things organized, I'll fire off a PM and hopefully we can hook up.

Thanks Bob

Wow, nice cars down there. Looks like hot rod heaven.

We have a couple near Stillwater, MN, that travels with a great dane in a side car. Looks like Scooby Doo. The dog wears a neck scarf and goggles. Same thing, he jumps right in and sits down, ready to go...
