Ask to see if it is hand laid or shot with a chopper gun. Hand laid cost more and is better but how good of a mold it is cast from will tell about fit and finish. I have seen a finished body from there and it looked good but the owner said there was a lot of prep work he had to do. Good luck----cj....

A friend of mine bought a body at a Swap Meet which we were told was a Heritage piece. Turns out we have determined it is a Kilbourne Rod Shop body, far and away superior to Heritage in Fit, Finish, and internal reinforcement steel structure. This body is really, really nice and is from what has to be a fresh mould, with crisp parting lines(most running on beadlines, easily sanded).
These guys don't seem to be at the top of their game in either advertising print or their website, but DAMNNNN, they make a nice body!
They're listed in the Bodies and Parts Listing on this site!

I have built a Koorey '32 Roadster and a '32 Tudor. They are hand-laid.

I would not recomend them to anyone. Poor workmanship, doors hung poorly, door hinges were made from angle iron, 1/4" nuts used as the hinge eylets. Tons of air pockets in the gelcoat. I have some pictures of the hinge assemblys saved somewhere...it was that bad. The interior garnish moldings for the Tudor were simply the window area of the door skins(the outside of the window opening) cut off just above the beltline. A total joke.

I can also not recomend the Heritage body. I have had one of there roadsters. The fit and finish was so bad, I don't think an expert body man could make it lookd good with 500 hours. I sold it in the gelcoat.

You get what you pay for. Wescott, Downs, Gibbon. In that order. I would also highly recommend a new company out of Conn, New Age Motorsports. I have not built one of there bodies, but they are very nice from the ones I have seen.

Good luck.
