Fiberglass decklid work
I'm going to be fixing fiberglass decklid for a guy that took spoiler off of his car and 01 Mustang GT and filled them with JB Weld, afterwards he rattle canned them. I will take out JB weld, mix some fiberglass resin and fill holes in. Afterwards I plan on grinding smooth and using 2K polyester putty over that and then 2K high build primer surfacer. Following is paint job.
Does that sound good or am I missing something. Ive painted fiberglass before and everyone makes a big deal out of it.

resin by its self has no strength and will pop out just like the jb weld.
grind a crater in the hole area and use fiberglass and resin together. then sand smooth and use your filler as you indicated. block sanding will be your friend to hide the repaired area.
