Yes, making a mold then your part out of the mold gives you a nice finish to start with. Hood scoops can be bought fairly cheap. You could buy 1 then mold to your hood then make a mold with integral scoop. Then pull the new hood with scoop out basically a finished product or as someone said shape the scoop you want out of foam and coat it with gel coat or other and make a mold then your hood.Being S10s are so popular you could probably buy a hood with scoop cheaper than you can build a mold and part. Unless you can get materials at a very good deal.Of course there is always just wanting to do it to see if you can or to be able to say you did no matter what the cost. Go for it.
