Over the years since the fibreglass closed car bodies have been around I have been zealously, and perhaps jealously, inspecting these bodies both in raw form and the built finished products. I don't claim to have seen every manufacturer's products BUT those I have seen have one common flaw ( well, perhaps I should say... I don't know).
The doors either do not fit nice and tight or, even if they do, they have absolutely no provision for weatherstripping. I do not want a dry weather only car. I've seen various efforts sealing these off, but none are very attractive or, I'll bet, very effective either. Has anyone else noticed this?
Also the fit and finish around the window openings seems to be kinda poor. Felt channels for the glass are poorly fitted and the cheapest stuff available. What do you think?
Are the manufacturers not getting any feedback from their customers, or does nobody care?
