Well, we start off the new year in style, with member "57Corvette" virtually owning this one as the year ended with som fine examples of clean christmas themed images. It's now his time to choose the subject matter which he has done in his own words below as the title will read "Fifty's American Graffitti Rock and Roll Blowout"

1950's Rock and Roll blowout. Any image that depicts the time of Elvis, Buddy Holley and American Bandstand. Cool Chevy's or low riding Mercs. Any car, any year as long as it makes you think of American Graffiti. Hope that works for everyone ........

and if I may add don't forget that there were an amazing variety of street rods, street machines and more including police cars. Get out your club jackets from years past and grab your media, whether it's paper, pencil, digital or paint, all is welcome again, here's to a great start !!



Contest begins now January 3rd and will end on the 26th for voting where-as polls will open and close within five days with a winner taking the Hotrodders.com title and choose the Febraury theme or topic.

Enjoy and lets see some awesome work again for 2011 guys !!

I will start this month out by posting a large oil painting that I did a few years ago, and has since been sold. It was initially done as a design for a tee shirt for a local car club, and featured member's cars in the painting. I think it really fits in with this month's concept.

Cool work so far. Looks like this month might be a drive inn theme. Thats what I was planning on doing too. I was planning on including a certain drive inn in one of the contest, I believe like a year ago. We'll see if I can actually get one in on time in one of these.
