Very Neat! I use to buy gas at the Casa de Petrol station. It was on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City , CA. It was owned by Casa de Cadillac as was the car wash you see in the picture. Lots of movie stars gassed up there. Republic Studios was just down the street. Dad saw Roy Rodgers leaving Republic one day as we drove by and Mom hustled my brother and I over to meet him. He got out of his car and spent some time talking to us holding up all traffic coming out of the studio. Mom was a looker and Roy had a clear eye. I was just a little guy and Roy tickled me in my stomach. Any body else out there ever been tickled by Roy Rodgers? Oh yeah, he had Bullet with him to.

That station with the B17 on top is located in Milwaukee, Or. and Lacey's airplane is currently under restoration to bring it back to flying condition.

It is still quite possible to get that kind of service at a gas station...just look for the ones with bums in front holding windex.

They are all of course super cool, but this one was shot last month on the way to a rat rod event. It is not a vintage photo.

Thank You

My father-in-law of 81 just had the most sparkle in his eyes viewing these pics that has not been lately. He pointed out so many things out to me, 53, that I had to say yes and no to what I could remember as a child. I personally want to thank you for those pics, it meant so much to me and my wife. Bless you ramtuff n topfueldreamer
