anyone know what you look for, or what the filler neck rubber grommet would be called that would be solid to fill the hole where gas was filled? I went ot a rear tank on my studebaker truck and wanted to just pull the gas filler tube and its body hugging rubber grommet, and replace the rubber w/ a flush mounted rubber grommet or stopper or plug. anyone know where to find an item like that?

I don't know anybody that makes gas hole plugs for stude trucks but you might want to check out Ace or another hardware store in the plumbing dept.
I've seen rubber plugs and cap's you might be able to fabricate if you don't have any luck with manufactured body plugs.
