Work on the VW's you have plenty of parts between the three of them. At 14 you do not have what you need probably to work on the Mustang.....Tools, Talent, and lots of Money. Your young play and learn with the VW's and in time you will have what you need to work on something else. You are only 14 so don't try to rush things.

VW for sure. The 'stang is a rotbox parts car and should be passed on the left at speed.

well i do have money...

and the VWs just arent my style..

i want a Mustang..

and i ahve the time to do it..

all the tools b/c my grandpa lives next to my uncle who owns a motorcycle shop and just finished a Mach I... my other grandpa has a good sized shop and i can do work at both places..

i have the tools..

the parts for the exterior come with it..

i have the hookups for most the interior.. and my grandpa lives next to a junkyard.. any little things i need i can buy or bargin buy from him...

i dont really like the VW's... if i did.. i would ahave done them 3 years ago.. when my dad started on one.. but decided not to

but if the title isnt cleared.. i'll work on the best conditioned VW and sell it for alot more.. and then sell it... and buy a good mustang

iight yall

i've made up my mind

what i'm going to do.. and my grandpa agreed

...

im going to fix the best condtioned one*the beige one*

then afterwards

i'll sell it....

then if i dont have enough to buy a decent stang then i'll put another engine in like the white one.. b/c it has a good tranny and i'll fix and sell it.. and so on and so forth throughout all of them if i have too. if 2 of them is enough.. and get the stang.. i'll build it up..

then after that probally this time next year.. i'll fix the other one

i know yall are proud of me now arentcha

Beetles

The super beetle that my son ran had a curved windshield and independent front suspension, I believe. How bad are the floor pans in the beetles? Bud

For the first two years, superbettles had flat windshields (70-71?)

All bugs have independent front suspensions. Superbettles have strut front ends.

As mentioned before, the Beetle parts are cheap compared to Mustangs. A friend bought a complete new VW interior for $300. Try doing that with a Mustang. You're going to learn and make mistakes. We all do. Wouldn't you rather "learn" on the VW rather than the Mustang?

all the floor pans are solid..except in the red one ( if you looked at my pics)

the rear floor pan behind the drivers seat is gone to the ground..

but tahts one i want to make into a street racer buggy.

so it LOOKS stock but it really isnt..

and i'm workin on the one i want to drive first just in case i dont get the mustang fixed in time.. or if i dont even get it yet...

so my work order is

Beige:... i'm keepin to drive
White:... to sell
Red:... drag street beetle

gtg to school

strummin67,

Mustang parts prices depends on which year/model....early parts are cheap enough
complete 65-66-67-68 standard interior kit $339 (carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels)
VW is cheaper if you do need a new ($150?) padded dash cover for the Stang

Scott,
do some research on the late 60's, 70's "baja" modified bugs for the street...can be a really fun street car
