Finally gonna break 30's and I have a day off!

According to weather.com

Fri
Feb 06 Wintry Mix 34/22 90 %

Well It's gonna be rainy, but at least it's out of the teens... Maybe I can finish the brakes on my 54. Just need about 1 or 2 hours of time.

I still need to clean the garage so I can push the mustang back in and take the tranny back out again. Yea, I said push. It engages one day, doesn't another, does / doesn't / does. . . . you get the idea. It's starting to remind me of my girlfriend. Ummmmm I didn't say that. I need to be careful these days. Sometimes she likes to sneak up behind me and watch what I'm typing. She's reall good at it too. Its almost like the kniving little [SMACK] OOOooowwwwwww!

Gotta go now.

You should have seen me dragging my old d-50 and saturn carcase around to clear the garage. No motor in either, pulling with nylon straps. It kind of looks like one of those stron man contests only smaller.

Hey now, don't think I won't use those nylon ratchet straps to cradle a transmission I love how the older mustang export braces give you a nice perch for the hooks. Then I just slide the belt under the bellhousing and start cranking. Gotta pause and straighten it out ever so often, but it sure does make things easier if you've only got one roller jack

You know I never thought of that but it's been a long time since I pulled a tranny. Last one I did I lifted onto my chest and wiggled it into place. That sucks, especially as you get tired.

Well made good use of the break in the weather, unfortunately no time for the 54...

Fixed 95 Intrepid wires, plugs, and found the vacuum line that was keeping it from starting

Replaced serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulley on 2001 Saturn sc2. No longer sounds like a supercharger going bad. It's only sounded like this since I got it last year.

Shovelled 6 inches of packed snow out of driveway.

That's more work than I've done in a long time.

That was putting it in, and I was in a not so clean cow barn. Lets just say I was young, and it was cold and needed somewhere to fix my duster. A friends parents lent me their barn to due it in the middle of winter. That is part of why I hate working on cars in the winter.
