Finally got the '72 Duster painted....PICS

I've been working on this car for approx. 3 months. I've replaced two rear bottom quarters, patched both rear fenders ahead of the rear wheels, patched one front fender, patched one floorboard, and numerous dents, dings and scratches. When I got the car all it had under the hood was the steering gear box so I had to find, sandblast, clean, paint and replace EVERYTHING i.e. wiring harness, wiper motor, heater motor, engine, manifolds, tranny, shift linkages, battery tray, windshield washer bottle, etc. etc. etc..... even painted the engine bay, frame rails, and k-member....WHEEEEW I finally have the end in sight. I can't wait to drive this thing

Hey Grape... The parts that are there that you can see look great. I think you put too much clear on the doors and hood though. They have so much clear, that you can't see them. LOL

Thanks Guys. Yeah the 2 bbl is what was original. I have a 360/4bbl that I was going to put in it also until I found an original 318. Here's another pic of what it looked like when I first got it.

Very nice! Do you plan on adding the black stripes or white?

Leaning toward black. I was thinking white but I don't think white will match the black scoop and wing. I still leaning towards black on the vinyl top also, I think it says "MUSCLECAR" a little louder than white

Aaron, the doors and hood are there. They are suppose to be invisible. Its a very rare option on mopars. It was done to commerate the 1964 roadrunner cartoon war and pieces, which was the last of the originals directed by creater jones. In the episode willlie coyote used acme invisable paint in his attempt to catch the roadrunner. You can see the cartoon here. Just hope you don't have dial up like me.

Lookin good Grape man.
