Post Finally Made a Photo album,

I finally got around to making a photo album with my Projects. Check them out & tell me what you think. I work offshore on an oil rig, so I'm posting from offshore right now. But I will be getting the new engine & tranny installed beginning Tuesday when I get home. Also on the second page of my album you'll see my 2002 Formula, I know that everyone here doesn't care that much for the new stuff, but it's a really rare car & It's fast 12.59 @ 113 it's also beautiful & I consider it a Hotrod, my wife considers it daily transportation. One day she'll learn to respect it I guess. . The new 383 is putting out around 550 to the crank & it's built to take up to a 300 shot of Nitrous, just incase. <img src="graemlins/evil.gif" border="0" alt="[evil]" /> . I'm gonna try to get away without tubbing it & keep it in a street tire class. Hopefully I'll be able to get it to hook up.

Looking good Jamnut. I like the color of the 383 to. What setup did you go with for the crank N rods? HG

Post re: Finally Made a Photo album,

HG thanks for the comment. The bottom end is a Eagle Stroker kit with H beam rods all 4340 forged with KB forged pistons. I've had the car for a while, it's just time to rebuild it. As you can tell from the pictures, I have more money in my toys than I do in my house . So this may be my last project for a while. Gotta do some work to the house.

That intake is an AFR that is port matched to the heads, we also port matched a Victor Jr, but we are going to drill & tap it for a direct port nitrous setup, & I don't want to break in my engine with all that power on tap, I'm just stupid enough to spray the motor before finding out if it has any bugs. But with the 3600 stall I really should be running the Victor Jr.

The motor that we pulled out of it was a "real" 383 built the old fashioned way with a junk yard 400 crank 11 years ago, it was just time to replace it.

Besides moving the engine back 3" I'm putting a 12 gal fuel cell, the battery & 2 10# bottles of nitrous in the bed, then we are going to put a Fiberglass Toneau cover over everything. I will be up dating my photo album as I go along. I work 14 days offshore then get 14 days off, so hopefully this 14 days off we will get engine & tranny in and the fuel system and wiring build so I can fire it up before I have to come back to work.

Post re: Finally Made a Photo album,

Thanks for all the Comments, I've been building Hotrods since I got my first one a 67 Chevelle when I was 14. That was 20 years ago. Hopefully I'll be able to stop with the projects & enjoy them for a while after I get this one done. But you know how it goes, a project isn't over until you sell it to start another one. SSSSSSHHHHH don't tell the wife I just said that. I actually think that I like building them more than Driving them. Well all except for the Harleys.

Also believe it or not the wife is wanting to put a set of Heads, cam, headers & a blower on the LS1 powered Formula. She knows me too well. She's trying to get out of having kids & if I stay broke building bikes & Rods we won't be able to afford kids.

Post re: Finally Made a Photo album,

I don't know what kind of paint it is. Just some kind of orange engine enamel that my buddy had at his machine shop & knowing him it probably was some pretty cheap stuff. I'll see if he can find out.

Post re: Finally Made a Photo album,

tm454 I don't think that I have any Unmodified original parts on the Chopper, not even the Engine cases. That isn't even an aftermarket frame, that's a Jamnut modified 1972 FLHP (cop bike) Frame that me & some buddies raked & streached. I can't even tell anyone how many degrees of rake is in the frame, we just streached the backbone about 4" then we ran a pipe through the neck & started heating the neck & bending the frame with the pipe through the neck. when we were done we added about 6" to the downtubes & called it a chopper. The frame is very sturdy also (not the death trap you may think because of the way we made it.)
