Finally at a point where I can start painting my Mustang. I did a test spray today on a practice panel---an old beat to hell rear valance that was originally on this car. It's pretty rough, lots of cracked filler, 40 grit scratches, bad--I mean no--bump work.
Scuffed it with 400, 1 wet coat epoxy, 4 hr later 3 coats ProSpray blue base, next day taped and 2 wet coats SPI white, then hr later 2 coats SPI Universal clear. This won't go on the car, just make a wall ornament. I was going to break down and get an LPH400 but ended up doing all of this with my Finishline. Barry helped me get that thing dialed in great.
4 years ago I took some paint and bump classes. Since then I've had a LOT of help from lots of people here along the way. I just wanted to showcase the culmination of your efforts. I'll add to this thread as I progress with the real deal. Hopefully I return only with happy progress pics and not emergencies
