finding out the gear ratio of a 10 bolt.
today i opened up my read end in my 66 el camino. its a 10 bolt. not sure if its the origional one. i took this code off of the ring gear:
GM 3790628-11 37- 66 is there any way i can find out the gear ratio through these numbers? thanks.

GM 3790628-11 37- 66
GM 3790628=part number 11 37=gear ratio 3.36 37 ring gear teeth divided by 11 pinion gear teeth. 66=year With this information, I would say you have the original axle and gears.
