Finding a paint code.

I am in the process of paing an early bronco.

I saw the color I want on an '03 Chevy Trailblazer.

Do I need to get the paint code off the car or is there a reference chart I can use?

The trailblazer was at a dealership, I guess I can go back but we decided not to buy the car from there and I have no idea where to look for it.

SOMETIMES you can get lucky by looking up a similar vehicle on Ebay. Most of the newer vehicles are put on there by dealers and a lot of times they will post closeups of the vin tag that might have the paint code or tell you the actual color name in thier description.

You could ask to look at the color chips at your local autobody supply house too.

Or you could just go for a "test" drive

It's not a guarded secret.
Go to the place that you plan on buying the paint, and ask to see a paint-chip chart for 2003 Chevy trucks.

Make sure that you view those chips in natural sunlight ... because they look a little different, usually, under flourescent lighting.

We sell Sherwin-Williams Automotive Paint where I work. Maybe you'll be able to pick it out of this list by description?
