firebird accelerator pedal conversion to cable

Hi, hope you understand my English. I have a firebird-67 which I have put in a Chevy 454. Instead of changing the strut from the gas pedal, so I figured I might as well convert to throttle cable. I rather do not buy a aftermarket pedal because I live in Sweden and the wait becomes too long and the costs are quite expensive. So is there any cars that I can pick the pedal and the cable directly from or can I weld on the original pedal (if so, where can I get the dimensions, etc.)?

Hope you guys can help, I always know I get the best help from this site

thanks in advance

this would be a conversion that you would need to get the dimensions yourself. you will also need to weld on a eyelet with a set screw on the pedal to hold the cable. the front of the cable needs to work with the carb you are running. so first find out your length add about 6 or 7 inches or as long as you can find. and go junkyard shopping. or you could just order a mr gasket univeral throttle cable kit for $14.99. good luck
