I got a 69 screamin chicken and as you might have read i lost the axle and the tire on the highway. not fun. but i am trying to upgrade the rearend since i got it out. Posi and maybe some mid 300's gear ratio. Does anyone know what my rearend is. i think that it is a 8.2 possibly 8.5. i am looking for something like that. if you have any input or ideas let me know...thanks.

The housing for the 8.2 and the 8.5 are the same so what ya have ta do is measure the ring gear, the diameter tells the story.
