Firewall Caulk
I had to clean out the seam on my 69 Camaro's firewall to replace part of the metal.. The caulk or putty that was there had to come off and now I don't know what I am supposed to replace it with. Quick answer would rock as I need to get this thing repainted soon

Go to your paint supply store, get a tube of 3M fast dry body caulk.
Use your finger to flatten it out, drys fast sets firm, but will flex. Use it on all body seams and welds that arn't finished. i will,
Thanks, Troy-Curt, that was a super fast, and right on answer to this post. I appreciate your courtesy, and haste.:D |
I think 3-M calls that stuff seam sealer. It's the same stuff they put all over the seams in new vehicles and then paint. If it's done right it looks just like a weld. Or if you smooth it down looks like a flat seam.
