First candy paint job!

I never would agree to do a candy for the street. Too hard to repair! In recent years I noticed the factories were using dark bases under theirs to make it easier to do, and to repair. This guy let me work up some color samples that we could live with. What do you think?

BTW It's a Hemi-powered '38 Dodge... so the name should make some sense. :-)

Wow! Looks awesome. Nice work! How many hours do you have into laying the colors out?

I'm not sure what you mean? Designing the graphics?... or masking out the graphics?... or shooting color samples?... or?

Counting the dash... window moldings... inner doors... jams... and the outer body... the fact that the candy color required approximately 13-17 coats... throw in the graphics and Gold Leafing... and some airbrush work I did not show... plus the sanding and buffing and polishing... about 250 to 300 hours.

...and thanks for the "thumbs up"! :-)
