First coat of primer over a combo of bare steel and body filler

What can the voices of experience recommend as the best primer to use when body filler is applied directly to metal leaving a combination of bare steel and body filler as the substrate? This will be the first coat of primer to followed by guide coats etc.

Epoxy primer then a good quality 2K primer/surfacer. I prefer SPI epoxy.

Hey Count,
do you have any pics of the kirker epoxy you used? I'm hopefully going to be spraying their black epoxy today...my plan is to mix it 1:1 with no reducer over bare metal....
