Installing Torque Converter

The Converter needs to be installed into the trans first. You will need to rotate the converter & gently push, should feel/hear 3 clicks. This will be the Turbine splines engaging the trans Input shaft, Stator Support splines engaging the Stator and the Impeller Pump Hub splines engaging the Pump lugs. After you bolt the trans to engine you should have to slide the Converter towards the Flexplate, should be about 1/8" to 3/16" gap between them. If not the Converter is not installed correctly. should be 3 Bolts & Nuts to install Converter to Flexplate + Blue Locktite on threads. Some Converters use Bolts & have threaded lugs welded to the Converter for mounting.
