No Problem
Glad to help. Just want you to get the right information.
No sense in working twice as hard if you don't have to. Knowledge is power, and I can use all the power I can get! Keep us posted as to what you come up with. Pappy

No doubt i need a refresher course but I have built my share of turtles and now i need to find numbers that work thats the reason i am on the bulliten board so hard , Numbers for the combo that works proven methods It must be simplier than this i should be looking for the parts by now I dont want to buy a crate motor but looks like i have to make some calls to North Carolina where the word speed originated i see this idea that fast motors are otainable under 5k every day at news stands . so chevy sb is where i want to go forgive me but i almost went astray thinking fords were the best route to dip in the 11s .mustang/ heads/ dump it with nitrous, and a gear but my buddy brought me back to reality, no disrespect to fords, Bob glidden ruled in his time, but i am fimiliar with chevys in the aspect of tuning, I am lost on the thought of a motor and it is holding me up to the point im getting frustrated maybe a 383 stroker is the route dumped with spray what do I need a motor combo to go an further.
is there a kit for this application ? |

You can put all the horsepower in the world to the rear tires but eventually you're gonna realize that the S10 is a very light truck, especially the rear of the truck. All that HP isn't gonna do you a lick of good unless you figure out a way to make those tires stick to the pavement and you're gonna have to do more than just move the battery and fuel tank to the bed if your gonna put the truck in the 11's. Just something to think about.
Good Luck, HRS10 |

Sounds like a cool project
<------------- I've done the same thing. To get a S-10 into the 11's a big problem will be traction, I can't get mine to hook-up. I also haven't taken on any major chassis projects to make it hook (its just a cruiser) but makin' it hook will be a major issue either way. Have fun. bonuts |

you may have a problem with too much power for the rear end, if your truck has a stronge chassis, why not look at an all wheel drive system out of a jeep or ford.don`t put all you eggs in one basket ie: changing to running gear to a different brand doesn`t matter to me when i`m doing 100mph+ down 1/4 mile.so look outside the square.bye
