With this 1103 camshaft the stock GM vortec head springs are fine. You need nto get all carried away
with valve spring pressure at all for this mild cam. You do not need to rev the **** out of the combo with this cam. 5000-5500 rpm is plenty. Its all about torque.
You got that right, it is all about torque, with me anyway. I have already cut the guides down so do I still run the Vortec springs without a locator or run the Summit springs without the damper?
