Fitting 18" American Racing Torq-Thrust IIs on a stock 67 Mustang?

Hi All -

I have a 1967 Mustang with is pretty close to stock, with some minor mods. I currently have slotted mags on the car - 15s, with big Cooper Cobra tires (235/55R15) - and it looks pretty mean. I am thinking about building another 67 Mustang, but I want to put bigger wheels on it - like 18" AR Torq Thrusters. Does anyone know if this can be done on a stock 67 body without modifying the fender flares? Will it rub on the back?

Also - what size tire could I get away with? Hopefully I wouldn't have to go all the way down to a 40 series tire (super low-pro). Let me know if you have some experience with this! Thanks in advance!
