fitting sbc engine in 50 chevy truck
Hi
I'm having problems fitting my SBC into my 50 chevy truck. I have a 700 R transmission and I cut the bottom of the firewall 1 inch but still not enough room for the distributor and the crank pulley lacks 1 inch from clearing the front crossmember. I could cut the firewall more so the trans. goes back another inch, but I think I still won't have enough clearanc for the dist.
Any ideas short of cutting out for the distributor and boxing in?
