Fix blinker part inside tilt steering column
 
I have a tilt steering column with a wing nut holding on my horn cap. not sure what kind of column this is or what it's out of?
My blinker parts are not working, broke etc. how do I change the parts? not sure how the cover comes off to remove the parts
NEED HELP

Need more info not sure what to tell you.
If you could get some pics of it, I'll bet someone on here will recognize it and know exactly what to do with it (aside from the usual smart A$* answers.)

If you vehicle is a GM product ...

You may need a lock plate tool ...

I have a MAC ... but most Auto Parts stores sell less expensive ones ...

You use the lock plate depressor to push down the cover ... then remove the snap ring ... sometimes pretty difficult to do and then it should look like this ...
