Flat cam in F4 Roller Block

Was wondering if this could be done. I know most are thinking why, but in a siituation where budget is done.. and I will put back to roller down the line, just can't afford $300 cam, new lifters and shorter push rods right now. My motor budget is done. I have a good roller and if I can use it with a flat cam in the meantime.. this is what I will do.

What crank would need to be used. Early or late. Is the F4 block machined for the one piece sel only. What rods also. I believe I was told I could use the early rods I have (football with arp bolts) on a late (F4) crank.

I hear the lifter bores are longer on F4. Does this effect anyting with flat tappet cam.

Again, the budet it closed on motor.. because I still need to build tranny. May not make sense to some, but makes perfect sense to me especially since I can do a simple swap later. I'm all ears. Having a challenge finding a good non roller block to build. I really did not want to use this roller, but I'm ready to get a motor built.

What is an F4 block? Either way roller lifters and flat tappet cams are not compatible. I think this is what you are asking?

Or are you just wanting to know if a flat tappet cam and lifters can be used in the roller block?

This is not what I'm asking. Read the post again.. slowly. An F4 block is for Ford guys. It's the equivalent.. well sort of of Chevy's L31 vortec block if you will. Like that one is simply a 350 roller cammed motor. An F4 block is a 351W or 5.8 roller cammed motor.

Hope this helps. For clarification I was asking "If I could USE a hyd. flat tappet cam" in a factory roller (F4) block. Then I was asking what crank for the late block.. and if early set of rods I have (football rods with arp) would work on a late (F4 block).
