Guess that's what I'm asking.... What are the pros using? I like to do a lot of research on something before I take one persons advice.... Learned that a long time ago. No offense taken...

I agree..I don't think I would use silicone..
I would say something like Urethane Windshield Adhesive.. |

The fiberglass is just too weak to try to seperate the the adhesive from. Yea, you can use the piano wire method to slice though, but that's assuming you can get the wire in and there is clearence all the way around to saw. That adhesive is made for modern cars where the glass is almost part of the structure. I did it and will never use it on a fiberglass car again. I used silicone after that and never looked back (on a fiberglass car). |
