sounds like you'r gonna have to get creative,, maybe a cable and some brackets??you can get heavy cables w/ adjustments from tractor dealer,,and then do some "cutting and fitting"...shorten -up cable to fit,, drill out clevis,, and use silver-solder with proper flux..and make -up some brackets...just my guess not knowing and not seeing..
