Bill the oil pressure fitting is on the passenger side on the back of the block. Unscrew the electric sensor and install the line to your mechanical gauge. Flattheads are known for low pressure at idl after theynget some miles on them. 5-10 pounds at idle with the engine hot is not unusual.

I have a pretty well built 51 Merc engine with a freshly turned crankshaft and it will idle hot at about 22 lbs. Going down the road it will run around 50 lbs.
