flexplate for 54 BEL AIR

I've got a 54 bel air with the stock 235 and powerglide tranny. The teeth on the starter gear of the flexplate are shot. I've got a line on a flexplate off a 64. I know my 54 is a type A powerglide and the 64 is a type B.(don't know what size motor the 64 flexplate came off of) QUESTION: Will the 64 flexplate fit my 54?

flexplate for 54 BEL AIR

What years of powerglide flexplate will fit my 54 BEL AIR? I think they ran the type A powerglide up to 62. Will any flexplate off of a type A powerglide work regardless of engine it came off of?

It has been many many years since I played with those, so this is based on Geezer brain power. But, I believe it has to be from a six cylinder motor. The old 235 style.
