Flexplate cover for 2004R 4.3 V6

I'm looking for a flexplate cover that will fit a 1986 TH2004R that I'm putting on a 1994 4.3 V6 engine. Thanks for any help. Tom

That's usually the 1st thing I "delete" from a build...

Forget it, it contributes nothing worthwhile to any street-only vehicle. Heat is the enemy of automatic transmissions, and deleting that stupid cover will help the converter shed some heat. Maybe not a lot, but some.
Also, with the bottom of the flexplate exposed, there's a slight hope of skinning the backs of those annoying cats who hide under your vehicles.

Someone here once brought it to my attention that the shield is there to keep rocks, trash, etc from becoming lodged between the converter and housing or flexplate and block. A moot point for me since I never drive on anything but clean pavement...

I still would like to know what cover fits

I still would like to know what flexplate cover will fit a 1986 TH2004R mated to a 1994 chevy 4.3 Vortec V6. I am debating to leave it off, but I may opt to put one on. Thanks for the replies. Tom

When I did my 2004r swap, I used the cover from the THM350. One hole needed a little massage. Any V8 with the thm350 besides the truck aluminum covers should work

Any car that came with a SBC/SmallBlockChevy Engine & 2004R Trans the cover should fit the 4.3L V6 w/2004R. 82-90 Models, G-bodies & larger B-bodies. Other TC covers fit with slight Mods as Art said above.
