Flow Rate Data for '487' heads?

I've been scrounging the net and havn't found any - anybody have any flow rate data for these heads?

These are 76cc cast iron heads w/ 1.94/1.50 and have a pretty good reputation for durability and reasonably good flow. They were originally on L48s in early 70s as well as LT1 engines (w/ larger valves).

Closest I've found are these flow #s for 441 heads:

lift int exh
0.100 55 45
0.200 110 80
0.300 160 112
0.400 194 127
0.500 201 136
0.600 203 139

And I have no idea how accurate those #s are. How close you figure the 441 would be to 487s?

thanks,

From what I know the 487 heads are the best of the large chamber SBC heads. The 993s(what I have) are sposed to be very similar to the 487s.Then I think 441s then 882s.

THanks. Yeah that's my understanding too. I've read the 993, 487, 441 and 442s are 'similar'. The 441 was the only one I found flow data for however. So I'm presuming this flow data is comparable or similar to the 487s.

You're right. That family of heavy castings heads were used in many of the "big" SBCs of the 60s and 70s, except for the 882s which are lighter castings and are suitable as boat anchors.
