Flowsound Mufflers?

Have any of you guys heard of Flowsound mufflers. They are supposed to be an inexpensive Flowmaster clone. Are they any good?

I never heard of them, use dynomax, thrush, or magnaflow. They all sound pretty good. Running really long glasspacks (28 inch) make a nice sound that's cheep. Running shorter ones will be really loud.

All of these I think are less expensive than flowmaster.

If you can find Flowsound Mufflers, grab them up. I have a set on my 65 Ranchero 302. Hooker 6901 headers, 2 1/4" pipe, X pipe and the Flow sound mufflers. I get nothing but compliments on how good it sounds.

Problemis, I think Flowmaster sued them right out of business. I am still looking for them. They were oput of Miami, Fl.

That link for the flow sound at best is sketchy IMO. In one breath they say that they are identical to flowmasters. Well if they indeed are then why in the next breath do they claim that theres have better flow and postthe numbers. If they are identical then the flow should also be identical.

lol love revivals! To chvyfan2, have you ever owned one of these mufflers? If so I feel sorry for you that you got a POS one because I have ran a few of them on projects and they sounded identical to the 40 series they replaced. Mainly being replaced due to being banged up and rusted out from offroading, but decided I wasn't going to spend another 60-70 bucks on a muffler when this one was like 25. Welded it up and sounded great, wish I could find my exhaust clip. Here are a couple from youtube for people that might still be interested.

I like this one with the x-pipe, would sound sweet on a done up small block

Here's a flowmaster comparison, is it REALLY that different?

I loved the MAC exhaust I had on my 95' GT, ran it with BBK x-pipe and BBK long tubes

I have been running Flowsounds on my small block Ford for 6 years now. Hooker comps through an X pipe and a 2 1/4 " system. Always get the highest compliments on the sound, no matter where I go. Factor in the lack of that mind numbing highway harmonic drone that Flowmasters make and they may be the best value on the market. I found a new dealer who stocks them and I will be going back for more on current and future products. IMHO, Flowmasters are an overpriced, poorly designed product in comparison.

I won a 3" Flowmaster Exhaust system for my 64 chevelle at a car show. The mufflers are still in the box. Used CherryBomb Vortex, sound nice no drone/resonance. similar to DynoMax UltraFlo.

Flowsound

I put a flowsound on my 09 Liberty today and it sounds great. Just like the Flowmasters.

I have flowmaster knockoffs and they aren.t to bad. Only thing, I have atruck motor and it sounds like a trucjk. They also are loud inside the car and drone . I have gotten use to them.
However I will be putting on Dynomax VT's in the future.

Just to add to an ancient tread .... I do not understand the love with the flowmasters , they sound awful. They sound tinny and echo like someone dropping marbles in a big tin box. Not a solid horse power report, reminds me of a inboard boat motor, I get that because I grew up in Miami been around a few boats .
