flywheel identification?

This came out of my uncle's collection of old car parts I'm sorting through. I assume it's for a GM V8. It's 14" across and 167 teeth. It was painted to keep the face from rusting and it has a GM1 cast in the back along with 3873456N

Chevy used 2 patterns, the 153 tooth 12 3/4 inch flywheel, and the 14 inch 168 tooth flywheel. I can barely make out the date code on the picture, but it looks to be K 8 8, which is K- November
8 - 8th of that month, and 8 meaning 1968 or 1978. there looks to be something behind the last 8, but I can`t make it out, if it`s a number, then it`s a year in the 80`s line.

K - November 6 - 6th 8- 1968 or 78. the 88 models used a different flange shape. I`m not sure if flywheels this size were used in 58 or not.

I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a smallblock 400 flywheel (I think that's the only externally balanced SBC from the factory?) The weird part was I couldn't find anything with the casting numbers, even with a google search!
