wow thats old, you can try wiggleing wires, unlocking the heads if it has a head lock for installing you might even try pulling your base unit closer cleaning the reflectors and the lasers, you might also wanna try and find out who survices those units and get a service call good luck, but to me it seems like a loose wire or the heads not finding the reflector, those were really simular to the hunter racks and those were the common things that went wrong. worth a try good luck

I've got a 7909 visualiner I use fairly often (home shop) - basically the same as the 9909 but a smaller cabinet.

I've had good luck getting parts and service advice from a SnapOn guy in Canada - RAL Sales <ral_sales@shaw.ca> - his name is Roy, tell him that David Raistrick sent you. (FMC was also John Bean, which got absorbed into SnapOn..)

(none of the local service reps would even talk to me - I did find a guy in Miami that has parts, too, if you can't get what you need from Toy. And another in Tampa, but he was an *** to deal with...)

I've got mostly a full complement of documentation for these 3rd gen (I think..) Visualiners - but haven't managed to get my hands on the real service manual yet. If you need anything let me know and I can get it scanned in.

I also have a half written set of detailed calibration and adjustment instructions (mind you, you have to have the calibration bar and stands.) that I could finish up....

FMC 9909 allignment

Thanks for your input
I had the 9909 heads setup on the cal bar, fiddled with off and on for a week,
pushed aside now, Would be nice to have a pinout of head wiring.
Is time to start painting in N Minn. and fishing season is next week.
Thanks Brian
