foam to make bumpers

i have a friend that's looking to design a front/rear bumper. they're looking for the large pieces of foam that people mold and shave into the bumpers. any ideas of where i can get some of this stuff?

You will have to get DOW blue foam it comes in sheets from 1/2 inch to 4inches maybe other sizes. its used for insulating foundations for houses i believe. Its sometimes hard to find .. i called about 15 places insulation places and building supply houses none of them had it. it took me a few weeks to find it locally. you can try a place that sells boat yard supplies.. i found that the same foam is used as flotation as well.
