Ford 289. HP?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The past weekend they had test and tune at the local track. A buddy of mine has 66 mustang(show car not strip car) and just wanting to see how it did at the track ran a best 1/4 mile of 13.22@119mph. The engine isnt to radical just finely tuned. The engine is a rebuilt 66 ford 289, with a 4 speed, 3:50 gears, 2600lbs. Can anyone give me an estimate of horsepower giving the 1/4 mile time and engine specs. I think my buddy told me the motor before mods was a 271hp based engine.

13.22 ET and 119 mph don't go together, are you sure you have the mph right??

ET at that weight says 222flywheel HP, 119 mph at that weight says 351 hp.

Calculator here www.wallaceracing.com in the calculators section.

2600 lbs. seems kinda light, too. You sure that MPH wasn't in the 90's- low 100's?
