Ford 302 help
Hello I have a 1979 ford 302 in a 1979 Replicar. Im a Chevy guy and dont know allot about Fords. My question is what would be the best way to get a Stock 302 2 barrel 170 hp motor to about 270 to 300 hp. The motor only has 8k miles on it this car was in a garage for 14 years. The car has great potential and with a total weight of 1736 lbs it runs well with only 170 hp. But as a go fast nut I WANT MORE. Can and ford guys tell me if its easier to just find a mid 80's 5.0 and drop it in??? The car has a square tube frame with coil over suspension and long truck arms with a 9" ford differential. No problem with traction here. And it has lots of wheel well to fill with rubber.
