Ford 351C valvetrain question

Does anybody know if I can swap in a set of 429 valves, springs retainers and keepers onto a 351C two barrel engine. I noticed that the 429 and 351C both use 11/32 stems and the four barrel 351C engine valves interchange with 429CJ valves. The reason I ask is.....the 429 has a 2.08 intake valve and a the 351C two barrel head has a 2.04 intake valve. The 429 uses a single lock keeper and the 351C uses a multi-groove keeper. The exhaust valves on the 429 and 351C two barrel head have the same diameter but the 429 uses the superior single lock keeper. Post 72 429's and 460's use a sled fulcrum rocker as does the 351C two barrel engine. So will it work, using 429-460 valvetrain in a 351C?

You should have no problem, I think the BB valves are even nicer metal.Because there is a a minor variation in overall length it is advisable to check preload if you don't shim. As long as you keep the retainers/keepers with the valves they should work well. I may have to go weigh them, but it seems that the 460 valves are lighter, or at least feel that way. They are a nicer piece all around.

Thanks woodz428, one other question is will the 429 rocker arms work on my 351C and are the 429-460 sled fulcrums any better than the 351C rockers? I am just trying to do a budget rebuild on my 351C that will be going into my 73 Mustang that has a 302 currently.
