Ford 351W
1979 Ford 351W...
ran fine, shut off, cranked back up in am, barely runs. 4 cylinders at best. Every now and then backfires through carb. Seems like timing off bad but doesn't make sense that the timing chain would've skipped a tooth at this point, not ruling that out though. Tested coil, pickup, etc. to eliminate Duraspark ignition problem. Any suggestions? |

Nothing has been touched previous to failure. Plan on pulling valve covers to see if all is working correctly.

Doc here,
Does your engine have a TFI module on it, and if so, did you have it tested? Also does it use a Crank Position sensor for PIP information..79 was kind of a some did, some didn't year..as far as I can tell, and I am not a Ford guy at all.. Doc
