Post Ford 400C build up supercharger needed

I have a sleeper. It's a 1972 Ford LTD with a 400C(M). It is in the process of being completely rebuilt using race quality parts. With the low compression this Ford torque monster makes i will need a supercharger to get the hp i seek. Does anyone know of a company that makes superchargers (centrifugal or roots type) that will fit under the hood of this mammonth of a car with out any hood mods?

if so reply or preferable e-mail me @ Entellijence@aol.com

Thanks

Whats a 400(M) motor? I've always heard the 351(M) is not a good motor for building a hot rod engine.

400 is a long stroke 351m, based roughly on the 351c. To achieve any decent power outta the 400 you need to start with the heads first. A nice set of 4v Cleveland heads is a start, but you'll need the proper spacers to adapt a 351c intake (thats made for 4v heads) to fit the wider block of the 400. Next is the pistons, need to bush the rods down to fit 351c pistons, and run a good forged flat top to up the compression. Also a good idea to 0 deck the block for better quench. Bottom end MUST have ARP rod bolts, and must be balanced, in order to hold up to the added RPM capabilites of the above mentioned mods. As far as intakes, a funnelweb intake would really do the trick, with an 750 holley set up by Bigs.

Well, the 351M/400 is what came in all the 78/79 Broncos. I've read a good bit on them, but must admit I had help with that bit of hot rod info.
