Ford 460 ci, just removed most of the oem, emmision devices
as we are going to be using this engine in a off road use, and there are no emmision contols in this area, it is in a 1986, f350 3/4 ton 4wd truck, after replacing the necessary vacum lines, ie vacum advance on distributo, and the throttle pull off, etc. can detect no vacum leaks, and havent touch the timing or dwell etc, No engine is bkfiring thru carb, and wont start I have checked firing order and plug wires, and all I can think might be causing tro. ???? Help!!

have you checked for spark? is it getting fuel? are you using a carb? a engine without fuel, air, and spark won`t run, these are the 3 major things to check first.

There is a guy in your neck of the woods named Orin Pritcher ( I think that is how it is spelled) Anyway he is a ford guy and should be able to help. I believe he has a shop there in Sedona or maybe cottonwood. Should be able to find him in the phone book.
Also try advancing the timing a little and see what happens. Good luck John
