Ford 460 intake questions
I have a 86 460, freshly rebuilt with a Howards RV cam(213 degrees @ .050, .502 lift,111 lsa, 106 centerline) 2.19/1.88 valves bowl blended and port matched, 8.5/ 1 comp, HEI style ign, arp hardware but otherwise stock and will be used for towing.
On this tame of a motor is the Edelbrock performer better or the Wieland Stealth the way to go? |

Weiand 8012 - Weiand Stealth Intake Manifolds - Overview - SummitRacing.com Edelbrock 7166 - Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake Manifolds - Overview - SummitRacing.com Either design will begin pulling at around 1,500 rpm's and will give you better mid-range than the low-rise standard Performer in my opinion. |
I had the Weiand stealth on mine and it was great.....dual plain....kept the power band low where I needed it. Best bang for buck in my opinion
