Ford 5.4 computer problem

I have a 2004 f150 with a 5.4 engine. It had a bad computer. It would rub till hot then quit if you cooled the ecm with ice it would start right up.
I replaced the ecm with a reman. now it wont energise the starter. It shows no fault codes. door locks workk fine. Alarm system seems to work ok. Got any ideas I am stumped.
Thanks Mark

This is just a guess and I could be completely wrong but Fords after about 2000 used an RFID chip in the key. With a new computer I think you will have to have the computer programmed to work with your key. Each key you have would have to be programmed in.

5.4 computer

Hi 47 dodge
You were right. I wasn't aware that in addition to flashing the computer it had to have the keys reset.
Thanks for the answer.
Mark
