Ford 8" and 4.0 SOHC V6

Hi, I have a 1935 Dodge pickup that we are working on. Currently it has a Ford 8" diff. We are going to put in a 4.0 Ford SOHC into the truck. It previously had a 2.8 Ford V6 on a carb. The 4.0 has EFI and puts out about 210 hp.

Questions:
1. Should i have any concerns about the 8" handling the horsepower of the 4.0?

2. I have a tri 4 link going in but have not done any other frame mods. Any thoughts on wether the frame on the truck needs additional stiffening? It looks pretty darn stout. The front end has a Mustang II set up with a pretty big crossmember as well.

Any advice much appreciated.

thanks

gary

The 8" is a pretty good rear end and should handle up to about 350HP or so without modification.
