Ford 9" axle Seals

I am somewhat unfamiliar with this setup. What seals the axle lube from leaking out of the axle bearing ends ? Are the bearings sealed or are there seals beside the bearing ?

If it's the late style Brg {a20 brg} the seal is on the axle behind the brg. If its a early style the seal is pressed in the housing.
