I'll be talkin' to the Eaton tech guys soon but, sometimes tech guys just read the catalogs back to you. I figured that a hotrodder is more apt to know it by doin' it and to "stretch" what a manufacterer says can be done.
I know that it's only a little less than 200 RPM different from usin' 3.00:1 but, if I can "stretch" it I will.
I havent posted on here for a long time but,I've been lurkin'. This and maliburacing.com ( if you're into G-bodies) are the best bulletin boards that I've seen so far.
Hey Deuce(moderater) I enjoy all of your posts. Thanks ahead of time,Smokey
Go for it. It depends on your first gear ratio. I don't like DL, too agressive for the street for me.
My T-5 (3.50 gear) gives me 2.38 final in OD and 1950 rpm @ 60 mph..
Some of those Mustangs have 2.73 gear with T-5 @ 1.86 final ratio !
